Melanie Chisholm, better known as Mel C was born on the 12th of January 1974, making her 47 years old.
The singer was born in Whiston, England to Joan O’Neill, a secretary, and Alan Chisholm, a lift technician.
When looking back at her childhood she described it as being “chaotic” from her parents separating, but has managed to keep a strong relationship with her half-brother Paul.

These include a cross at the top of her left arm, a colourful dragon on her right leg and a Japanese symbol near her right shoulder.
But the singer regrets having so much body art done now, and wouldn’t want her daughter to copy her.
Speaking to Good Housekeeping in 2012, Mel said: “I’d definitely discourage Scarlet from having tattoos. I’m looking into getting some of them removed.
“I think it was a great idea to get rid of them for the magazine photos – I wish you could do it permanently.”
