The Duke of Sussex, 36, recently started two new jobs, one as a top level executive at BetterUp, a Silicon Valley based coaching firm, and the second as a member of the Aspen foundation which aims to combat misinformation in America. Jonathan Shalit, a British talent manager, told The Telegraph of how Harry is using the jobs to try and create an identity for himself beyond the Royal Family.

Mr Shalit said that some celebrities now have a desire to give back and support communities, but noted that Prince Harry is “above celebrity.”

“He doesn’t need celebrity. When you’re Royal, you’re the biggest celebrity in the world. But what this does is allow Harry to have relevance.”

He continued to add that the position helps Harry achieve a level of corporate status equal to that of his wife Meghan Markle.

Mr Shalit added that Meghan, 39, is more employable than Harry who is causing confusion amid complicated tax and visa arrangements and his status as a “diplomat.”

He said: “I’ve met Meghan on a number of occasions and she is a hugely astute woman, very bright, incredibly impressive.

“So for Harry to keep up with his wife, he’s got to find his own name and identity and this is the start.”

Prince Harry will be the Chief Impact Officer at BetterUp, which has an estimated worth of £1.25 billion.

CEO of the start-up, Alexi Robichax, said that Harry would not display his royal titles at the workplace and that his salary and work hours would not be made public.
