Meghan Markle and Harry: Experts on Sussexes being ‘cut-off’
Yesterday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they would be joining a star-studded event on May 8 aimed at increasing the global vaccination effort. However, on the same day, Spotify podcast host Joe Rogan said he would not encourage people to take up the vaccine.
This comes as a major blow for the couple who signed a multimillion-dollar deal with Spotify last year after stepping away from the Royal Family.
A royal insider familiar with the couple told Page Six: “Harry and Meghan will be less than thrilled with Spotify, it’s hugely embarrassing for them.
“And they have to think, ‘Do we really want to be on the same banner as Joe Rogan?’”
Mr Rogan said: “If you’re, like, 21 years old, and you say to me, ‘Should I get vaccinated?’ I’ll go ‘No’.”

He clarified the vaccine was safe but said he didn’t think young people should prioritise getting the vaccine.
The argument was rejected by US medical chief Anthony Fauci who said: “You’re talking about yourself in a vacuum. You’re worried about yourself getting infected and the likelihood that you’re not going to get any symptoms.
“But you can get infected, and will get infected, if you put yourself at risk.”
This latest Spotify blow comes after musicians said the couple’s deal with Spotify was a “kick in the teeth”.

Their contract is thought to be worth £18million and will see them produce and host podcasts on the channel.
However, the move has been criticised due to how Spotify pays artists for music.
This is because the streaming platform can pay artists as little as £0.0038 per stream.
Musician Harrison Rhys told the Daily Star: “I believe what Spotify have done is unethical.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
“We are only being paid £0.0038 per stream but they are able to pay out what is probably a multi-million dollar fee to Harry and Meghan.
“In reality who wouldn’t want to accept that sort of money to have their podcast broadcast.
“And it is likely to be a positive thing for their listeners as The Sussexes definitely are doing a lot of good with their projects around the world.
“But this last year has been the most difficult one for musicians where many have had the majority of their income lost so I feel this is a kick in the teeth.”

The Channel 5 host discussed reports that Prince Charles is looking to slim down the Royal Family when he becomes king. Mr Vine warned that it would be “tricky” for Prince Andrew’s daughters to be ditched from the line-up.
He told viewers: “We should point out Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.
“Apparently their father, Andrew, asked for them to become princesses and HRH.
